Description
Morrell Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the late 17th century, with an early 19th-century addition and 20th-century alterations. It is constructed of painted brick and features hipped and gabled roofs covered with old tiles, along with brick ridge and end stacks. The building has a three-unit plan with an additional section to the left that has a similar layout.
The exterior consists of two storeys plus an attic and has a three- plus two-window arrangement. All windows are fitted with 20th-century uPVC casements, and the doors are similar in style. The left part of the building has Flemish bond brickwork and plain eaves. The entrance features a doorcase and overlight leading to a 20th-century door. On the ground floor, there are segmental-headed windows, a patio door to the left, and a three-light casement to the right. The first floor has three-light casements flanking a two-light casement, along with two renewed gabled dormers.
The right part of the farmhouse is built in English garden wall bond and has a top modillioned brick cornice. It features a segmental-headed entrance with a 20th-century door and altered windows at each end of the ground floor. The first floor has two altered windows and a blocked segmental-headed window to the left, along with one renewed dormer. At the rear, there is a single-storey gabled window with an end stack and a first-floor window to the left. The interior has not been inspected.
