Combe Abbey, 2 Cottages And Outbuilding Approximately 30 Metres From North Frony

Combe Abbey consists of two cottages and an outbuilding, located approximately 30 meters from the north front. These structures date from the late 18th century and are built from sandstone ashlar with a slate roof, featuring three stone stacks. The buildings are two storeys high, plus an attic, and have a three-window range. The gable end has a full-width pediment with moulded cornices. On the ground floor, there are three recessed round-headed arches, each with thermal windows, and a blind area below. The central arch has a 20th-century door inserted. Above, there are three six-pane sash windows with wedge lintels, and a thermal window is located in the center of the pediment. A raised band is present at the impost level on the ground floor, with additional six-pane sashes on the sides and rear. The buildings also feature moulded stone cornices and coped gables coated with bitumen and lead. This listing is included for its group value.
