Description

This is a house, built in the early 18th century in Brinklow. It is constructed of brick with a roof of old tiles and a brick ridge stack. The house is two storeys high with a two-window front. A 20th-century part-glazed door sits centrally, flanked by 19th-century casement windows with blue brick sills. All the windows and the door are protected by segmental brick arches. A later 18th-century wing extends to the rear of the building. Inside, some original roof timbers and beams remain, featuring chamfered edges and run-out stops. A large open fireplace has been altered. Two original plank doors are also present. The building is included on the list for its group value.
