Description

Thatched Cottage is a 17th-century house located on the west side of The Crescent in Brinklow. It features a timber-framed structure with brick cladding and a thatched roof, which has a brick stack at the ridge. The cottage is one storey plus an attic and has a three-window range. The front includes a 20th-century part-glazed door set within a 20th-century wooden surround and hood. The ground storey has 19th-century two and three-light casements, and there is a 12-pane three-light casement in the right dormer. Some original timber framing is visible at the rear, although the ground storey framing has been altered. This building is included for its group value.
