Description

Old Dunsdons is a house dating from the early 18th century. It is constructed of red brick with flared headers and features ashlar stone bands and dressings. The roof is covered with old plain tiles, and there are brick stacks at each end. The building has two storeys and an attic, with a three-window range.

The entrance is a six-panel part-glazed door located in the center, framed by a stone architrave surround, a brick segmental relieving arch above, and a flat hood supported by brackets. On both sides of the door, there are three-light stone mullion windows with stone architrave surrounds, moulded sills, and flush, shaped aprons. Above these windows, there are brick segmental relieving arches. A flat stone band runs between the ground and first floors. On the first floor, there are three-light stone mullion windows to the left and right, similar to those below, and a two-light stone mullion window in the center, all with stone architrave surrounds, moulded sills, and flush, shaped aprons. The building also features two gabled full dormers with two-light casements.

The interior has not been inspected. There is a 20th-century addition to the right, which is a two-storey, single-bay range. Old Dunsdons is included in the listing for its group value.
