Description
Rectory Farm Cottages is a pair of cottages, possibly converted from a house, likely dating from the early 18th century and altered in the 19th century. They are constructed of red brick with flared headers in Flemish bond and feature an old plain-tile roof. The cottages have a central brick ridge stack and a 19th-century brick end stack on the right. They probably originally had a two-unit lobby-entry plan. The entrances consist of plank doors with segmental brick heads, one of which is located to the left and another to the right of center. The door to the right of center has a 20th-century brick open porch. There are three-light wood casements with segmental brick heads to the left and right of center, and a grey brick flush band between the ground and first floors. On the first floor, there are two 2-light wood casements. The interior has not been inspected but is reputed to include elements of timber-framing.
