Description

NEWTON REGIS MAIN ROAD SK20NE (North side) 2/67 Pool Cottage GV II Cottage, c17, with some C19 rebuilding to right. Timber-framed with rendered and whitewashed brick infill; right bay of whitewashed brick with dentil cornice and C20 sham framing. Thatched roof; whitewashed brick ridge and right end external stacks. 3-unit plan. One storey and attic; 2-window range. Third bay has ribbed door and open porch. Ground floor has 2- and 3-light casements; mostly C20, with horizontal glazing bars; C19 window on right has segmental arch. Small window below ridge stack has glazing bars. First floor has dormers to centre and right, each with a 2-light cross-glazed casement and glazed apex. Interior has exposed trailing end beams, and open fireplace.
