Description
September Cottage is a 17th-century cottage constructed with a timber frame, featuring whitewashed plaster and brick infill, along with a plinth made of whitewashed brick, render, and rubble stone. The cottage has a hipped thatch roof, with brick chimneys located at both ends of the ridge; the chimney on the right is made of 17th-century brick. It is a single storey with an attic and consists of four bays, although only the two central bays have windows. The left bay has leaded windows, with a three-light window on the ground floor and a two-light window above. The right bay features a barred wooden window on the ground floor and paired casements above. The upper windows are dormers that include slate aprons. There is a ledged board door to the right of the main right-hand bay. Small 20th-century extensions made of whitewashed brick with flat roofs are located at each end, with the right extension displaying painted imitation half-timbering.
