Description

Hollybush Farmhouse is an early 17th-century timber-frame house with brick infill and a rubble stone plinth, extended in the early 18th century. The roof is tiled to the right-hand bay, with thatch over the rest. Brick chimneys are located on the gables, and another is in the center. The house has two storeys and four bays. It originally had wooden casement windows, with three lights on the ground floor and two lights on the first floor, both barred. Flush panelled doors are located between the outer bays, the right-hand one having a wooden hood supported by brackets. The original four-centred arch over the left-hand door has been removed, and a Sun Fire Insurance plaque is situated above it. A lean-to section on the right-hand side contains a single barred casement window.
