Description
Rose Cottage is a 17th-century cottage that was extended in the 19th to early 20th century. The eastern bay of the cottage is timber-framed with whitewashed rendered infill and features a thatched roof that is half-hipped to the left. There is a brick and stone chimney stack on the left gable. The cottage is one storey with an attic. The north front has one barred wooden window and a four-panelled door to the right, which is set in an enclosed gabled porch with boarded and glazed walls. At the rear, there is a lean-to. The extension to the right is made of red brick with a slate roof and has a brick chimney on the right. This extension is two storeys and consists of one bay. The north wall of the extension is blank, while the gable facing the street has two paired barred wooden casements on each floor.
