Description

This is a 17th-century house, extended in the 19th century with single-bay additions at each end. The original two bays retain a timber-frame structure, with diagonal bracing, whitewashed plaster infill, and a whitewashed rendered plinth. The roof is thatched, and brick chimneys are located on both sides. The house has one and a half storeys. The ground floor has a large barred window with a segmental head on the left side, and paired barred casements in the 20th century on the right, as well as first-floor windows set within the thatch. Steps lead to a flush-panelled door on the left. The 19th-century extensions are whitewashed render on the left and whitewashed brick on the right, both with slate roofs and brick chimneys set into the outer gables. Both extensions are two storeys high, with barred sash windows, those on the right having cambered heads.
