Description

Paradise Farmhouse is a 17th-century house, originally timber-framed, situated in Newton Longville. The house exhibits a mix of construction techniques; the original timber frame is visible with diagonal braces and modern brick infill, while the exterior of the central two bays is almost entirely brick. The roof is half-hipped and thatched, with a brick chimney positioned between the left-hand bays. The house is two storeys high and comprises four bays. It features irregular barred wooden casement windows; these are two- and three-light on the ground floor, and two-light in the eaves-line dormers on the first floor. A 20th-century glazed door is located between the left bays, and a small single light is visible in a blocked doorway to the centre bay.
