Description

No. 2 Lady Bank is a house, now used as an office, built around 1840 and incorporating an 18th-century wall. The building is constructed of brick with plaster dressings and features a hipped tile roof with brick stacks. It has a right-angle plan and stands two storeys tall with a single window range. The entrance is located at the left end and has a doorcase with panelled pilasters and reeded brackets supporting a 20th-century hood. Above the entrance is a narrow overlight that leads to a four-fielded-panel door. The windows have sills and wedge lintels with keystones, featuring 20th-century small-paned casements on the ground floor and a 16-pane sash window on the first floor. There is an end stack on the right side. The left return has a three-window range with segmental-headed windows, which have 20th-century casements, and one 12-pane sash window on the first floor at the left end, along with an end stack. The rear of the building has an outshut to the right. This property is included for its group value.
