Description
This house, dating to around 1800, is now used as flats. It’s constructed of brick with ashlar stone details, and has a tile roof with brick chimney stacks. The building follows a double-depth plan with a central staircase. It’s in a Georgian style, with a symmetrical facade of three windows. A sill band runs along the ground floor, and there’s a cornice at the top. The front entrance features a doorcase with an architrave, frieze, and consoled cornice, above a six-panel door with two glazed lower panels and an overlight. The windows have flat brick arches above them and 4-pane sashes with horns. There are three hipped dormers with 20th-century casements in the roof. The rear of the property includes a shallow gabled wing and two 19th-century gabled wings. Internally, some windows have shutters. A dog-leg staircase features stick balusters and a turned newel.
