Description
Holloway Lodge is a lodge dated 1810, designed in the Gothic Revival style. It is constructed of ashlar stone and features a hipped slate roof, resembling a castle gatehouse. The building has round angle turrets on battered bases, two platt bands, and an embattled parapet. The central carriage entrance has a four-centred head, a hood with iron horseshoe stops, and paired studded doors, with the Ferrers arms displayed above. There are flanking blind slots. At the rear, there is a similar entrance featuring the Townshend arms above, along with flanking two-light double-hollow-chamfered-mullioned windows, and three similar windows on the first floor. The returns of the carriageway have entrances with four-centred heads and six-flush-panel doors.
