Description

Milepost, possibly from the early 20th century. Made of cast iron, it has a triangular plan with an inclined head set approximately 500 millimeters above ground level. The front is inscribed with "KINGSLEY," while the left side shows the distances to Hanley (8 miles), Stoke (9 miles), and Newcastle (10.5 miles). The right side indicates the distances to Froghall (1.5 miles) and Ashbourne (13.25 miles).
