Description
The Glebe is a farmhouse that dates from the early 19th century, possibly incorporating a core from the 18th century, with some alterations made in the 20th century. It is constructed of red brick with painted stone window surrounds and features a low-pitched tiled roof. The roof has verge parapets with finials on painted stone kneelers. The building has an H-shaped plan with stacks located at the rear. The front is symmetrical, consisting of two storeys and an attic, with a three-window arrangement that includes 2-, 3-, and 2-light labelled chamfered mullioned casements. The ground floor has a transom in the centre and outer sections, which have been replaced by 20th-century bow windows. The projecting flanking gabled wings have labelled single-light attic windows, although the left window has been blocked.
