Description
Hazles Farmhouse is a farmhouse that dates back to the 17th century but was largely rebuilt in the mid-19th century, with some alterations made in the 20th century. The 17th-century gable is constructed from coursed dressed squared stone, while the rest of the building is made of brick. It features a tiled roof with pitched-coping verge parapets on the 17th-century section and end stacks. The two-storey elevation facing the road has a projecting gable to the left and includes 20th-century casement windows. There is also a 20th-century flat-roofed extension at the right side, which contains the entrance. The gable from the 17th century has two owl holes in the apex, set within diamond-shaped recesses, positioned above a range of labelled casement windows that were formerly three-light chamfered mullioned windows with chamfered reveals. Access to the other elevation was not possible during the resurvey in April 1985.
