Description
New Hall Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the late 18th century, with alterations made in the mid-19th century. It features coursed dressed and squared stone, with some sections rebuilt in brick. The roof is steeply pitched and tiled, with verge parapets that have pitched copings and corbelled kneelers, along with brick stacks at the ends. The building has a T-shaped plan and is two stories high with a two-window front. To the right, there is a projecting gabled wing made of stone, which has a raised string at the first-floor attic level and a single range of 19th-century four-light chamfered mullioned windows, with the ground floor windows being deeper. The set-back wing to the left is mostly brickwork and features 20th-century casement windows, with a segmental-headed window on the ground floor to the right. The entrance is located against the return angle and consists of a 20th-century glazed door. There is also a lower wing to the left.
