Description

Elm Tree Farmhouse is a 17th-century farmhouse with alterations from the early 19th century and 20th century. It is constructed of coursed, dressed, and squared stone with a tiled roof, verge parapets, and an end stack to the left. The building follows an unusual T-shaped plan, appearing virtually as an 'L' shape. The garden side, facing east, is two stories high with two windows. A projecting gable is to the right, featuring a 20th-century casement window to the first floor. Below it is a deeply set, chamfered mullioned window with four lights, originally dating to the 17th century but now labelled. A set-back wing to the left contains a tripartite sash window. The rear wing has a 19th-century Tudor arch entrance.
