Description
This house, located approximately 20 meters north of the village school in Ipstones, dates from the late 18th century and has been altered in the mid-19th century. It is constructed from coursed dressed and squared stone and features a tiled roof with verge parapets and pitched copings, along with brick stacks at each end. The building is two stories high and has a symmetrical three-window front. The first floor has 19th-century chamfered mullioned windows with two lights, positioned above three-light windows on the ground floor. These windows are set in 18th-century block dressed reveals and were originally configured with three lights on the first floor and four lights on the ground floor. At the center of the house is a 19th-century gablet with a shield below the apex and a brick stack above it, along with a central entrance that features a glazed door.
