Description
This barn, located approximately 25 meters to the north-east of Banktop Farmhouse, dates from the late 18th century and features mid-19th century alterations and additions. It is constructed of red brick and random-coursed rough-faced stonework, topped with tiled roofs and verge parapets. The barn has an L-shaped plan, with the larger section built in brick and the smaller section in stone. It includes haylofts above cow sheds and a cart shed. The south face of the barn has one hayloft door situated above the entrances, which have been widened to the right, and a segmental arch. There is a full-height cart entry and a projecting wing to the right, made of stone, which has a hayloft opening in the gable end.
