Description
This stable and cart shed, located approximately 5 meters east of The Ashes, dates back to the 17th century and was converted to its current use in the early 19th century. It is constructed from coursed dressed and squared stone, topped with a stone slate roof featuring verge parapets and pitched copings on corbelled kneelers. The building has a two-level plan, with a loft above the stable and cart shed. The short frontage includes a stable on the left, which has a door to the right of a small 20th-century window and a segmental arch to the right. Access to the loft is provided by exterior stone steps on the west gable. This structure is part of a complete 17th-century farm group.
