Description
This is a cartshed located at the rear of the stable block at Ashford Hall, dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed of coursed limestone rubble with gritstone dressings and quoins. The roof is made of stone slate and features three skylights. The gables are stone coped with plain kneelers and small finials at the ridge. The building is single storey and has a large segmental-headed arch with a quoined surround, situated to the east of the center, which contains double plank stable doors. There is a regular pattern of breathers on the sides. This structure is included for its group value.
