Description

The gate piers and attached walls located south of the stable block at Ashford Hall date from the late 18th century. They are constructed from ashlar gritstone and coursed squared gritstone. The piers are short and square with a rusticated finish and feature domed tops. In the center, there are additional plain pilasters with scroll tops designed for attaching gates. The walls on the other sides are made of stone with chamfered copings. These structures are included in the listing for their group value only.
