Description
Lees Bridge is an 18th-century bridge that was remodeled in the early 19th century. It is constructed from gritstone ashlar and features four segmental arches that are stepped to the east. The underside of the bridge is ribbed on the eastern side. There are large cutwaters on the east side and smaller stepped cutwaters on the west side. A plain stringcourse runs above the arches on both sides. The bridge has low parapet walls from the 19th century that curve outward at the ends, terminating in octagonal piers with chamfered stone copings. The two southernmost arches extend into Bakewell parish.
