Description
Brook Cottage is a house with a core dating back to the 16th century, although it was largely rebuilt in the mid-19th century and refaced in the 17th. The building is constructed of red brick, with a small remaining section of 17th-century stonework; it has a tiled roof and end stacks. The two-storey, two-window front features 19th-century casement windows. The right-hand part of the ground floor, constructed in stone, has a blocked reveal to the right-hand window and an entrance to the right of centre. The interior contains a cruck frame with straight blades, with the ridge running parallel to the street and behind the stone-faced section.
