Description

This mile post, located on Newcastle Road, dates from around 1835 and is made of cast iron. It has a triangular shape with an angled top plate. The post is inscribed with the distances: 'Leek 1 mile; Newcastle 10 1/2 miles; Burslem 8 1/2 miles'.
