Description
This is a barn located approximately 30 yards north-west of Lanes Farmhouse, dated 1747. It is constructed of red brick and features a plain tile roof with stepped verges. The barn is aligned north-east to south-west and faces south-east. It is a single storey building with a toothed eaves band and consists of five roof bays. There are segmental arched barn doors to the left and right of the center, with the left door being blocked. The barn also has eight tiers of air vents. A central datestone is inscribed with "JOHN / SMITH / 1747". Inside, the barn features 19th-century king-post roof trusses. This building is included for its group value.
