Description
This barn, located approximately 60 meters west of Ivy House Farmhouse, dates back to 1747 and has undergone some alterations in the late 19th century. It is constructed of red brick and features slit vents, along with a tiled roof that has verge parapets. The barn has a long frontage with two segmental-headed threshing floor entrances set in from the ends. There is a 20th-century opening on the left end and a lower addition on the right. To the left, there is a painted stone plaque inscribed with "JOHN SMITH/1747." This barn is part of a series of large barns in the area that are believed to have been built by the same craftsman.
