Description

This is a late 18th-century farmhouse, with alterations made in the mid-19th century and 20th century. Built of red brick with raised bands at the floor levels, it has a hipped tiled roof with a moulded eaves cornice. The building is nearly square in plan and has a symmetrical three-window front. The upper floor has three dormers, and the windows are casements with painted rusticated wedged heads and raised keystones. A three-sided flat-roofed bay window has replaced the original window on the ground floor to the left. The central doorway has a similar head to the windows, overlight and a six-panel door. The square plan may have resulted from the combination of two buildings, with the southwest corner being filled in later. Architectural details continue onto the adjacent sides of the building.
