Description
Greenhills is a house built in the mid-19th century, designed in the Tudor Gothic style. The exterior is rendered to resemble ashlar, topped with a fishscale tile roof and features brick stacks, including detached diagonal and star-shaped stacks. The house has two storeys, with the main section displaying three windows and a slightly lower service wing with three windows set back to the right. The prominent front gables have coped parapets, moulded kneelers, and cornices that extend from the eaves.
The main part of the house has a narrow recessed central bay flanked by gables, with two and three-light casement windows featuring hood moulds on the first floor. The ground floor includes three-light square bays with crested cornices and a projecting square porch that has a chamfered Tudor arch entry leading to an inner half-glazed Tudor arch door. The service wing has a central gabled break and two-light casements with hood moulds. The garden elevations are styled similarly, with the east front showcasing three bays and gabled square oriels on the first floor that contain three-light arched-headed windows.
Inside, there is a contemporary staircase that matches the exterior style, and the ground floor rooms feature appropriate fireplaces.
