Description
This is an early 19th-century milepost located on the north side of Holyhead Road (A41) in Codsall. It is made of cast iron and features raised lettering. The milepost has a triangular section with a chamfered top. The top face displays the name "CODSALL," while the left-hand face indicates "WOLVERHAMPTON 5," and the right-hand face shows "SHIFNAL 7½," "WELLINGTON 14," and "SHREWSBURY 25."
