Description

This milepost, located on the north side of Holyhead Road (A41) in Codsall, dates from the early 19th century. It is made of cast iron and features raised lettering. The milepost has a triangular section with a chamfered top. The top face displays the name "CODSALL," while the left-hand face indicates "WOLVERHAMPTON 4," and the right-hand face shows "SHIFNAL 8½," "WELLINGTON 15," and "SHREWSBURY 26."
