Description
Manor Farmhouse is a house built in the early 19th century, with mid-19th century wings. The exterior is rendered and scribed to resemble ashlar, featuring rusticated quoins and quoin bands, and topped with a hipped fishscale slate roof that has four rendered stacks, two of which have moulded caps. The building has two storeys and is arranged in a 1:2:1 bay configuration. The central bays have 2-light casements with plain stone surrounds and horizontal glazing bars, while the ground floor features additional marginal lights. The flanking bays have 4-light sash windows on the first floor in plain stone surrounds, and flat-roofed canted bays on the ground floor with casements.
The central entrance has a door with six panels set in a moulded surround, topped by a flat roofed hood supported by two turned columns with a moulded cornice. Inside, the left ground floor room has a plaster cornice on the ceiling and an elaborate centre, along with a mid-19th century staircase. There is a marble fireplace in the right ground floor room with a bracketed mantelshelf. The forecourt is enclosed by decorative cast and wrought iron railings, with a gate that matches the style.
