Description
Manor Farmhouse is a 17th-century farmhouse constructed with colourwashed roughcast and a slate roof featuring coped verges, along with two brick and one rubble chimney stacks. The building is arranged in an L shape and has two storeys and an attic, with a layout of one bay on the left and three bays on the right. The left bay projects as a gabled wing that has a coping and a finial. The windows are 2 and 3-light stone-mullioned with ovolo moulding, some of which have been restored, and they feature stopped labels except for those on the first and second floors of the gabled wing. A six-panelled door, with the top four panels glazed, is located to the left of the right three bays, and it is set within a projecting gabled porch that has a double Roman tile roof and a decorative wooden finial. There are also 2-light stone-mullioned windows on the returns. Inside, the farmhouse has exposed ceiling beams and retains the remains of a 17th-century overmantle on the first floor, which has been repurposed as a cupboard.
