Description

This is a 17th-century farmhouse located in Purton. It is constructed of colourwashed stone with a stone slate roof. The building is one storey and attic, originally comprising four bays, with a later extension adding a fifth bay beyond a large chimney stack. A half-glazed door is positioned in the second bay, sheltered by a simple porch. Timber casement windows with wooden lintels are present, and the window in the third bay formerly served as a door. Two raked, flush dormers light the attic space. The roof is three-quarter hipped on the right side and features two brick stacks. Internally, the farmhouse retains spine beams. The roof is largely obscured from view.
