Description

Flintford Farmhouse is a 17th-century farmhouse located on Rodden Hill in Selwood. It is constructed of random rubble, partly rendered, with a concrete double-Roman tile roof featuring coped verges and three brick stacks, one of which projects from a small gable. The building follows an L-shaped plan.

The farmhouse has two storeys and an attic, comprising a one-bay section to the left, set within a projecting gabled wing, and two bays set back to the right. The projecting wing features a four-light stone-mullioned window with ovolo moulding on the first floor, a similar two-light opening in the attic, and paired 12-pane sash windows on the ground floor, set within a chamfered stone surround with a chamfered dividing mullion. The two bays set back include three-light stone-mullioned windows on the first floor and a three-light casement window on the ground floor. A weathered string course runs at first floor level. A ribbed, pointed-head door from the 19th century is located adjacent to the right side of the projecting wing.
