Description

Two attached houses, number 44 dating from the mid-18th century and number 43 from the early 19th century. They have rendered exteriors, with number 44 colourwashed, and roofs covered in asbestos slate (with two skylights to number 43) and double-Roman tiles (to number 44). Four brick stacks are visible.

The houses are two storeys and attics, with a 3:3 bay arrangement. Number 43 has 12-pane sash windows in plain stone surrounds on the left-hand side, while number 44 features Venetian windows in bead-moulded stone surrounds on the right-hand side. The central windows of each house are sash windows with glazing bars, and the sidelights are casements with horizontal glazing bars. A single semi-circular window is centrally located on the first floor of number 43.

Both houses have a central door opening, with 20th-century gabled porches. The doors are double glazed. Number 44 has a 4-panelled inner door with the top two panels glazed, and number 43 has a 6-panelled door with the top four panels glazed.
