Description
The Ashmall memorial and railed enclosure is located approximately 5 meters east of the chancel of the Church of St. Bartholomew. This structure is a pedestal tomb commemorating Robert Ashmall, who died in 1810. It is made of stone and features a square base that rises on two moulded steps. The die of the tomb has oval inscription plaques and a fluted frieze beneath a reeded surbase, which is inscribed above with "D. WILMOT, LICH." At the top, there is a fluted urn finial. Surrounding the tomb is a square railed enclosure that stands 1.5 meters high on a stone plinth, with urn standards at the center and corners, and spearhead designs elsewhere. Robert Ashmall was the owner of Farewell Hall.
