Description

The Mathews Tomb and railings, located approximately 2 metres to the east of the chancel of the Church of St. Bartholomew, is a chest tomb dating from the late 18th century. It is constructed of ashlar stone and features a moulded base and top, with panelled sides. Surrounding the tomb is a wrought iron railing with spearhead designs, shaped standards, and urn finials. The inscription on the tomb was illegible at the time of the last survey.
