Description

The Old Tavern is a late 18th-century cottage with additions dating to the 18th and 19th centuries. It is timber-framed with white painted brick nogging, and partial brick refacing, along with later white painted additions to the left and right. The roof is tiled, half-hipped to the left, with slightly higher eaves on the right. A large half-hipped gabled dormer, with a three-light leaded casement window, is positioned off-centre to the left. There are ridge stacks situated off-centre to the left and behind the ridge, off-centre to the right. The cottage originally comprised two framed bays. The ground floor features a five-light leaded casement window to the left and a three-light segmental-headed leaded casement to the right. A 20th-century boarded door is located in the right-hand gable end.
