Description
A house dating from the 17th century, with later alterations and additions. It is timber framed with brick infill, and has a plain tile roof. A brick stack is centrally positioned. The house has an L-shaped plan, originally consisting of two bays aligned north-east/south-west, facing north-west. A wing was later added to the north-west, aligned north-west/south-east. The south-west elevation is one storey and attic, with a gable of the original house to the right and a set-back extension wing to the left. The right-hand gable features a 20th-century ground floor bay window and two attic windows with segmental heads, all casements. The upper part of the gable has been rebuilt in brick, although some square-panelled timber framing survives to the ground storey. The extension wing has a bracketed bay window to the ground floor left and a gabled dormer above, both dating to the 20th century. There is a door to the right of the extension wing. The left-hand return of the original house has a blocked 17th-century first-floor window. The south-east elevation has three square panels to the eaves with straight braces, and irregular window placement. 20th-century casements are present to the ground floor left and right of centre, and a gabled dormer is located to the right of centre. The interior was not inspected.
