Description
Mershac is a house dating from the 17th century, with later alterations and an addition. It features a timber frame, part of which has been replaced with brick, and has a plain tile roof with brick off-ridge stacks. Originally a two-bay house aligned east-west and facing north, it has been extended to the east. The building is one storey with an attic and now comprises three bays, featuring 20th-century casements with leaded panes and gabled dormers. There is a boarded door to the left. The framing of the right-hand bay includes two rectangular panels at eaves level and short straight braces. Inside, there is one 17th-century door, chamfered and stopped ceiling beams, and the roof has straight wind-braces and one pair of purlins.
