Description

71 Main Street is a 17th-century house that has been converted into a shop in the late 20th century. The building features a timber frame with brick infill and a plain tile roof. It has two framed bays that are aligned north-south and face east. The structure is one storey high and has three square panels at the eaves, supported by straight tension braces. There are 20th-century doors and windows on the left and right sides. The south gable includes a 20th-century bow window and an exposed queen strut roof truss with V-struts positioned above the collar.
