Description

This is a 17th-century house, now used as an office, situated on the north side of Main Street in Alrewas. The house is timber-framed with brick infill and has a thatched roof with a scalloped ridge. A brick ridge stack and corner stack are also present. It follows a lobby-entry plan, aligned north-south and facing west. The building has one storey and an attic, displaying three square panels at the eaves with straight bracing. It features two double windows with 20th-century casements, and an eyebrow dormer to the left. A door is located to the right of the centre of the building. The south gable displays curved tension braces. The roof consists of a collar and tie beam truss with one pair of purlins, a ridge piece, and V-struts above the collar. The interior has not been inspected.
