Description
Pilgrims Cottage is a 17th-century house that has been altered. It is timber-framed and plastered, with a central axial ridge stack built of red brick. The roof is steeply pitched and thatched, with tiles surrounding the thatch and two gabled dormers. Originally a two-cell lobby-entry house, it is one storey and attic with a plinth. The original entrance, located below the central stack, is now blocked. There are three tall 19th or 20th-century two-light timber casement windows: one to the left, and two to the right. Similar windows are found in the dormers to the left and right of the stack, as well as on the returns. A 20th-century entrance porch has been added to the left gable wall. A small, two-storey, thatched gabled extension is attached to the rear. The interior has not been inspected.
