Description

The Well Head Pump is a structure from the late 19th century to early 20th century located on the north side of Newnham The Green. It features a cast-iron construction supported by two A-shaped trestles. The pump mechanism is centrally located and is activated by turning a large circular wheel with a single handle that protrudes at a right angle. Both trestles are marked with "C.P. Martin/Engineer/Harpenden".
