Description
Thatch Cottage is a 17th-century house located in Alrewas. It features a timber frame with brick infill and a thatched roof that has a scalloped ridge. The building has a T-shaped plan with three framed bays, and the main range is aligned north-south facing east, with a rear wing. It is one storey high with an attic, displaying three square panels to the eaves supported by straight braces. There are two casement windows and eyebrow dormers on the left and right sides, along with a door to the left that is sheltered by a thatched timber porch. The gable end roof trusses have queen struts and V-struts above the collar, which have been restored. The interior has not been inspected.
