Description
No. 18 Long Lane is a house dating from the 17th century, with later alterations. It is timber framed with brick infill and has a plain tile roof featuring raised verges and brick off-ridge stacks. The building has an L-shaped plan, with the main range aligned east-west facing north and a wing to the north-east aligned north-south facing west. It is one storey with an attic and has two square panels at the eaves. The main range, which is two bays wide, has 20th-century casements and eyebrow dormers. There is a door to the left behind a glazed porch that occupies the angle between the main range and the wing. The right-hand return of the wing features a large 20th-century ground floor window, an eyebrow dormer to the right, and imitation timber framing. The interior has not been inspected.
